In this session, The Swing Shift will emphasize how both in person and online communities help close career gaps. We'll touch upon; types of gaps, age bias, networking in person and online and objection handlers.
Are you curious about jumping into the gig economy? Learn the pros and cons of project-based consulting work vs full-time employment and how to leverage your experience to do the work you love.
The Microsoft Alumni Virtual Career Fair allows for local and multi-national companies around the world that value people with Microsoft FTE experience to connect online in real time with quality Microsoft alumni who are seeking new challenges and new career opportunities.
To register, use your Microsoft Alumni Network member ID (found on the Manage My Benefits page). You will be asked to build your profile and upload your resume. On April 3, you will log in and join the event, visit employer booths, apply for positions and choose which employers with which you wish to engage in one-on-one chats (similar to choosing which booth to visit in a physical career fair). Please be prepared to provide highlights of your resume, your career interests and to ask questions about the company. Following each chat with a recruiter, you can select additional employers to engage with until the career fair is over.
